As AVP in the Exhibitions industry, you will be at the forefront of crafting and executing captivating events and experiences that resonate with our diverse audience. Your strategic vision, leadership prowess, and attention to detail will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our exhibitions portfolio.

AVP is responsible for leading theExhibitions Function within the Events Management division. Main areas of responsibility include annual strategy execution and management and departmental-level performance management of all exhibitions. AVP leads and works with multi-disciplinary teams and engages with other department heads to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new and innovative, commercial and revenue opportunities

  • Optimizing cost efficiency

  • Develop and implement innovative exhibition strategies aligned with organizational objectives

  • Formulate and execute creative marketing and branding strategies especially effective marketing penetration strategies across dimensions; including, but not limited to geographies, segments and corporate seniority profiles to achieve

  • aggressive international and local attendance targets,  and build loyal communities to retain attendees and win new ones.

  • Actively monitor and report on departmental objectives and deliverables; including, maintenance of a periodic KPI dashboard and formal monthly reporting mechanism.

  • Directing cross-functional support teams, where required, to facilitate creation of new business strategies; rationalize processes; and identify, qualify and present issues, qualitative insights and findings to Executive Management.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage insights to enhance event offerings

 

Key Characteristics

  • Preferably Master in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent

  • Minimum 12 years’ relevant experience, of which 8 years in C-level advisory roles or divisional leadership within Exhibitions.

  • Proven track record of success in exhibitions management or related field

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

  • Creative thinker with a results-driven approach

  • Fluency in English is a must – Arabic optional.
