Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to join their team in Dubai as a Business Development Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in the events services (fabrication/stand-build design/event management) industry in the MENA region with a proven track record of developing new business opportunities.
The primary focus of this role is to develop business throughout the UAE & other Regions and be accountable for the Regional Business Development strategy.
Monitor and target area key accounts, including customer care, contract enhancement, and renegotiation.
Identify and develop new customers and additional revenue streams.
Actively participate in sourcing and tendering of potential local and national contracts.
Encourage new Business Principal Relationships and secure collaborative business partnerships.
Establish rapport with existing customers, understanding their principles and ensuring maximisation of the turnover from their products and services.
Network and effectively develop a sales team with qualified and experienced sales professionals throughout the various business units within the group.
Identify high potential areas and key growth drivers for diversification (both product and geographic) and implement suitable strategies to bring about ambitious organic growth of the organisation.
To take an active role in the business planning cycle and contribute to the continued growth and commercial success of the business.
Develop Marketing and Sales strategies and utilize suitable tools as advertisements, exhibitions etc. to show case the company's products and services.
Manage and develop an effective Sales force across the MENA region and company facilities.
5-8 years of experience in relevant roles
Proven experience and track record in business development at an exhibition organizer and/or
event agency in the UAE
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business administration, marketing, or a related field will be a beneficial qualification
In-depth knowledge of the UAE exhibitions and conferences sector, including market trends, key players, and regulatory frameworks.
Goal-oriented; ownership of event targets and numbers.
Research and analytical ability.
Commercially minded, business acumen.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal, relationship management and networking skills.
Planning/time management/self-organization and self discipline
