We are looking for a highly experienced and committed finance and administration professional with expertise in events and exhibitions. Specific experience in commercial exhibitions and related commercial services in the events industry is highly beneficial. We are looking for a candidate with prior experience having worked full-time in a similar role at an event agency or exhibition organizer Business Director.

The primary function of the Business Director is to manage finances, administration, HR, procurement, legal and insurance-related aspects of the company.

Job Responsibilities:-

  • Establish and develop goals, financial targets, policies, practices, and internal procedures that will benefit the company and increase revenues.

  • Establish and develop effective business relationships with clients and suppliers

  • Plan and manage the company finances including accounting and reporting for operational expenses, pricing policies and other financial aspects

  • Oversee budgeting and budget controlling for active projects

  • Plan and manage the company's operating expenses, revenues and profits

  • Manage the company's cash flow and develop strategic financial planning for upcoming projects and company development

  • Manage the company's audits and tax reports across the UK, Germany and UAE in coordination with external auditors and tax consultants

  • Coordinate existing staff including time and capacity management, holiday planning, internal workshops and trainings, internal communication etc.

  • Plan and manage hiring for permanent staff for the development of the company as well as free-lancers and external specialists for pitches and active projects

  • Manage contracts and other legal aspects for the company including contract negotiations with clients, suppliers and staff and any other legal aspects in coordination with external legal consultants and solicitor(s)

  • Manage the company’s insurance in general and coordinate insurance policies as required specifically for active projects

Requirements:-

  • 8-10 years experience in relevant roles

  • Proven experience in an event agency and/or exhibition organizer

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration will be a beneficial qualification

  • Experience working with clients and projects in the GCC /MENA region

  • Keen sense of financial management, negotiations, reporting and business administration

  • Strong communication skills and fluent English language capabilities and ability to work in fast-moving teams. Arabic language capabilities are beneficial.
