A Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for securing sponsorship and exhibition revenue for events within the company's portfolio. It emphasises the need for a determined, solution-oriented individual with a proactive attitude and a drive for success.

The manager will be responsible for executing B2B sponsorship and exhibition sales campaigns, requiring a combination of analytical and creative abilities. Effective management of multiple projects is essential to meet targets and ensure a satisfactory customer experience.

Responsibilities: -

  • Conduct vendor analysis and market research and monitor competitive event performance.

  • Consult with clients to identify needs and sell show packages to target market groups.

  • Develop and coordinate sales plans and initiatives, including marketing campaigns and relationships with external partners.

  • Take ownership of client relationships, revenue targets, and new business development.

  • Identify and qualify new leads and input data into CRM.

  • Oversee administration and fulfilment of sponsorship packages.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to accurately target potential customers.

  • Stay updated on industry developments and trends.

  • Show a strong interest in sales discipline and industry knowledge.

  • Attend relevant events to secure sponsor and exhibitor commitments for future participation.

Requirements: -

  • Minimum 3 years experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales, ideally within the energy sector.

  • Excel in networking and social media usage.

  • Showcase technical skills in contract and budget management and proposal writing.

  • Utilize databases, preferably Salesforce, for mass and targeted sales campaigns.

  • Effectively cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and products.

  • Prioritize customer needs and negotiate win/win agreements.

  • View the role as a stepping stone to senior sales or junior management positions.

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written English skills, with proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is an advantage.
