SALES DIRECTOR

 

The Sales Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue and managing a sales team for a flagship event. Key duties include setting and achieving sales targets, creating strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, and fostering customer relationships. The role requires overseeing all aspects of exhibition sales, coordinating with operations, and contributing to marketing efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies, set targets, and ensure team success in achieving revenue goals.
  • Motivate, coach, and train sales staff, holding regular meetings and annual appraisals.
  • Worked with operations on floor plans and special events, supported credit control, and oversaw client databases.
  • Provide weekly sales reports and projections, maintain financial oversight, and flag any issues early.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align sales and promotion efforts for the event.

 

Requirements:-

  • Over 5 years in sales management within events, with a successful high-value sales track record.
  • Proficient in financial planning, budgeting, and strategic sales planning, with expertise in Microsoft Office and ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong formal people management experience, with a background in training and developing teams.
  • Commercially aware, strategic thinker, able to work well under pressure, deadline-oriented, and effective communicator in English (Arabic preferred).
