Our client is a leading organiser with their regional head office based in Dubai. They are currently expanding their head count and are looking for a Sales Manager - Arabic to join the team.

The purpose of the role is to manage a high level and profitable exhibition portfolio; generate new business stand sales and sponsorship revenue.

The Job

  • Responsible for sales and relations with existing clients and new prospects; developing new revenue streams and to win exhibition sales through telesales and occasional meetings.

  • Develop effective sales collaterals and presentations in cooperation with marketing; create marketing plans to ensure the position and image of the show.

  • Supervise, evaluate and optimize annual, quarterly and monthly planning and operational process as well as monitor sales progress.

  • Coordinate with the line manager on event programmes and for all events related costs.

  • Develop and maintain prospects lists; undertake research and analysis on potential additional product profiles; develop innovative approach on e-selling, phone selling, personal visits of clients in consultation with the line manager.

  • Keep abreast of the industry and the competitive environment and to collaborate with the team in developing relevant show content and sales strategy.

  • Initiate and plan show visits both international and local and to attend competition events; Ensure practical travel costs; properly plan each visit to meet desired results; gain new ideas on venue, pavilion and stand set up and campaign techniques on new and key exhibitor sourcing.

  • Develop strong relationships with key clients.

  • Consult with major clients and prospects to determine and drive the key project goals.

  • Demonstrate ownership of and use the sales methodology to sell sponsorship and exhibition packages.

  • Consistently hit event revenue targets and achieve a minimal acceptable level of performance per calendar month.

  • Present tailored, benefit-driven solutions

  • Consistently achieves targets and meets deadlines.

Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years in sales and exhibition industry (KSA experience is an advantage)

  • Goal-oriented; ownership of event targets and numbers.

  • Research and analytical ability.

  • Commercially minded, business acumen.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

  • Interpersonal, relationship management and networking skills.

  • Planning/time management/self-organization and self discipline

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Arabic is an advantage
