ESMOS is recruiting a Commercial Director to lead and expand the commercial operations for one of our clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong event management, sales, and marketing experience, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
This senior-level role involves working closely with the marketing team and third-party stakeholders at governmental levels, with full responsibility for revenue management, including forecasting, report writing, business development, and identifying new revenue streams.
Responsibilities:-
- Develop and implement a global sales strategy with the marketing team.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to conclusion, ensuring best practices in data acquisition and management.
- Oversee agent management, focusing on growth, account management, and revenue protection.
- Handle key account management for high-revenue exhibitor and sponsor accounts.
- Collaborate with admin and operations teams to maximize floorplan yield.
- Identify and implement new sector developments to keep the exhibition relevant.
- Formulate strategies to maintain event positioning against competitors, including disruptive marketing campaigns.
- Continuously analyze revenue channels, identifying new sources and optimizing pricing strategies.
- Set and manage overall revenue sales targets, including pricing and individual sales targets.
- Lead and motivate the sales team, managing incentives, commission structures, KPIs, and providing coaching and mentoring.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a proven track record in senior commercial roles within large B2B events.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial roles.
- Extensive experience in commercial roles within large-scale events, media, exhibitions, or B2B environments
- Proven-track record in selling new and existing exhibitions
- Strong key account management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Exposure to GCC market is a plus
