The Head of Content leads the creation and execution of content strategies across digital platforms, including written, video, and multimedia formats. This role ensures content aligns with the company’s strategic goals and brand messaging while managing a team of content.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Content Development:
· Develop and own the content strategy for all conferences within the exhibition portfolio.
· Conduct market research to identify key industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
· Design innovative, topical, and commercially viable conference agendas.
· Ensure content aligns with the exhibition’s brand, audience profile, and strategic goals.
Speaker Acquisition & Stakeholder Engagement:
· Identify, invite, and secure high-level speakers including industry leaders, policymakers, and influencers.
· Build strong relationships with industry associations, partners, and thought leaders.
· Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align speaker lineup with sponsorship and audience acquisition goals.
Team Leadership & Project Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of conference producers and content executives.
· Create project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for agenda completion, speaker confirmations, and content delivery.
· Oversee on-site delivery of the conference, including speaker coordination and session management.
Revenue & Commercial Contribution:
· Collaborate with the sponsorship and sales teams to develop content-driven commercial opportunities.
· Support the creation of sponsorship packages tied to content features, panels, or speaking opportunities.
· Monitor budget and contribute to achieving overall event profitability.
Event Execution:
· Attend conferences to manage speaker logistics and moderate sessions when needed.
· Ensure a seamless conference experience for speakers and delegates.
· Evaluate post-event feedback and performance metrics to improve future editions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
· 7+ years’ experience in conference production, content development, or a similar role in exhibitions/events.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven track record of building high-level conference programs and securing C-suite speakers.
· Strong project management and leadership abilities.
· Commercial mindset with understanding of how content drives sponsorship and delegate sales.
